The annual council Pinewood Derby championship. Packs may register up to 4 champion Scouts (preferably one from each Den; Tiger, Wolf, Bear, Webelos). There will be an open race for Scouts and siblings AFTER the championship race is concluded. Registration is open from January 11-April 13.
Registration opens January 1! Merit Badge College provides an opportunity for Scouts to work with a counselor on two merit badges over the course of three Saturday mornings. Class space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
This is a two evening training. This training satisfies the basic training requirement for Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters. It addresses the fundamentals of troop operation and developing youth leaders.
This one-day training event presents the basic skills required for packs to conduct outdoor activities or pack camping programs. At least one leader at any pack outdoor activity is required to have taken this training. The sessions will include basic skills instruction as well as the planning and safety considerations for outdoor programs.
This is a weekend training event. This hands-on training satisfies the basic outdoor skills training requirement for Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters and Venturing Crew advisers. It addresses the fundamental planning an safety considerations for conducting outdoor programs with your unit.
Wood Badge is a six day advanced leadership training for Scouting leaders conducted over two three-day weekends. Attendance for all three days on both weekends is required to complete the training. A $75 non-refundable deposit is required to register.
This is a weekend training event. This hands-on training satisfies the basic leadership skills training requirement for Venturing Crew youth. Polar Bear swim, training, food, movies, COPE, and more will take place.

Central MA kick-off event for Camp Wanocksett's 2016 summer season. Troops are encouraged to send Scoutmasters, an Assistant and Senior Patrol Leaders to this event to learn about this summer's programs and get information to help prepare your troop for camp.
Course participants will learn about the concepts of Leave No Trace and prepare to teach Leave No Trace curriculum in a variety of settings. The course is open to Scouts (14 and older) and leaders. This is required training for those who wish to fill the Leave No Trace position of responsibility in their unit.
